Unfortunate Circumstances Strike…

Bowen Area

Puncture #4 and a lost iPod.
John suffered his fourth puncture yesterday and once again had to effect roadside repairs on the bike.
Today he reports that he has sighted coconuts beside the road (!) and that he is 45km from Ayr.
The bad news is that he lost his iPod somewhere in the Bowen [...]

Another Flat Tyre, And a Flat Stretch…
John left Mackay on the 2nd of April. He has continued to power on through the hilly sugarcane country that lies North of Mackay. Apparently he even scored a free breakfast!
However, yesterday he had one long, straight stretch for 20km. He once again lost some time to a puncture [...]

Mackay

John hoped to get to Sarina yesterday (not actually sure where he did get to last night).
But he did make it to Mackay around the middle of the day today and decided to rest up for the remainder of the day.
