Arrived at Gladstone

John arrived at Gladstone today. There still are over 1000 kilometres before he arrives in Cairns though. I guess that shows just how big this country of ours really is. Queensland is a vast state.

Gin Gin

Yesterday John arrived at Childers and the weather was good.
Today he has made it to Gin Gin and it is fine and breezy. He had lunch just before arriving in town and spent some time resting in the shade for an hour or so. The Queensland sun must still be quite strong this time [...]

Ballina to Brunswick Heads

Flags and Queensland in Sight!
Last night John stopped at Ballina to send the night. Today he has reached Brunswick Heads, and soon he will be north of the border and into Queensland. Yet again, precipitation and humidity combined to provide discomfort.
